Define: “Andy Route”

Definition: Andy Route n. – Any route to a destination that takes the usually longer, but more interesting path. May include historical markers, good places to eat, and dead end streets. Many get frustrated with Andy Routes, especially if they are in a hurry, or need to be somewhere. Frequented by stops and U turns, they are hard to follow and repeat. Andy Routes are seldom traveled early in the morning, and seldom make it over 50 mph. It is generally assumed the use of GPS, or computer guidance will destroy an Andy Route.  Always make sure to have over a half tank of gas, plenty of water and snacks before attempting such a route. AAA is advised.
